What is Right Wing Revolution about?
Kirk’s view of the culture war and how his side could win it. The publisher’s description calls wokeism a lethal ideology that seeks to humiliate and erase anyone who won’t bow to it, and frames the book as preparation for a fight already underway. Kirk defines wokeness as a mental illness that believes itself to be the cure, and he treats it as a habit of thought more than a doctrine with a history.
The book moves in stages. It starts with what he saw as the harm the movement had done in schools, corporations, media and government. Then it lays out a plan for fighting back, including legal strategy and messaging. Kirk uses an advertising analogy for the messaging: few Americans have Geico insurance, he points out, but almost all of them remember its commercials.
The last stretch of the book, around a hundred pages, turns personal and reads more like self-help than politics. Kirk tells readers to police their own thinking, exercise, read the Bible, go to church, consider homeschooling, stay away from pornography, marry and raise families. He closes with a reading list.
Winning Team Publishing released it in June 2024. The first edition runs more than three hundred pages.
Why read Right Wing Revolution now?
As a record of what he believed in the last full year of his life. By 2024 Kirk was married with young children, and faith had moved to the center of his public message. The personal half of this book shows it.
Critics rejected its framing of the culture war. Readers who agree with him will find it his most complete statement of what he thought the country should become. I knew him only from the clips, and the book fills in a lot that a ninety-second video can’t.
What came after Right Wing Revolution?
One more book. Stop, in the Name of God, about keeping the Sabbath, was published in December 2025, three months after he died. The personal chapters here point straight at it.
